Manager

The wordwide known, magic word “manager”, normally used by speakers of any language instead of the corresponding word in their own language, has a latin origin, from “manu agere”, bring by hand, referred to the groom who carries the horses in the arena (it: maneggio, sp: manear). It’s curious how we export a word from a language to another and then re-import it with a different meaning.
