Non dobbiamo dimenticare mai che il primo PC è stato progettato e realizzato in Italia. Per merito di Adriano, la Olivetti è stata per anni (a memoria direi fino all’inizio degli anni ’70) l’azienda italiana più avanzata. All’inizio della mia attività professionale ho avuto modo di lavorare sul P101 (e, saltuariamente, sul P602): certo, non erano i PC di oggi, ma per l’epoca erano all’avanguardia a livello mondiale.
We must never forget that the first PC was designed and built in Italy. Thanks to Adriano, Olivetti has been for years (from my memory I would say until the beginning of the 70s) the most advanced Italian company. At the beginning of my professional activity I had the opportunity to work on the P101 (and, occasionally, on the P602). Of course, they were not the PCs of today, but for that time they were at the forefront of the world.
