All roads lead to Rome

The map that I have found in the web shows the road suystem of the Roman Empire. Il is worthy to note

1 – the complexity as well as the completdness of the system, and

2 – the vact that the road system that we are using now (national roads, motorways and railways) follow more or less the same scheme
