Sustainability and creativity

In my opinion, to reduce carbon emission we must diversify the energy sources: the challenge we are facing is quite huge and it’s normally subject to a kind of under-estimation: the problem it’s not only to produce electricity but to convert in a sustainable way the whole production of heat that is used for industry, buildings, etc. In addition to that we must take into consideration also economic and social aspects. Dante would say that “fa’ tremar le vene e i polsi”.

We are to develop technologies and methods that we have and create technologies and methods that we do not have yet within year 2050, furthermore (this is where we need the real creativity) we must have a “plan B” in case we do not succeed or in case some of our assumptions are wrong.
