Ho iniziato il mio diario in rete con un articolo (post) pubblicato il 13 settembre 2010, dapprima sul Blogger di Google e poi, dopo alcuni anni, su WordPress ove esso si trova tuttora. Ringrazio il Signore per poter essere ancora attivo nonostante la mia età avanzata, tuttavia è iniziato anche il tempo dei bilanci.
Da quel giorno del 2010 fino al 31 dicembre 2022 ho pubblicato 872 articoli, di cui una parte ritengo possano essere significativi: da quando sono passato su WordPress, il diario ha progredito notevolmente, come si può vedere dalla tabella sotto riportata:
I seguaci (tutti li chiamano followers, ma a me piace parlare una sola lingua per volta) ad oggi sono 35: non posso certo considerarmi un personaggio influente (1), ma va bene così.
Alcuni articoli hanno ottenuto più di mille visualizzazioni: paradossalmente l’articolo più “gettonato” è stato l’Epitaffio di Simonide” che ne ha ottenute 6513, si tratta di un articolo in cui propongo una traduzione del famoso epitaffio in cui, al di là della traduzione letterale, tento di esprimere il modo in cui un militare dei nostri ytempi scriverebbe oggi l’epitaffio che Simonide scrisse verso il 500 a.C.: per me una grande soddisfazione, tenendo conto del fatto che non sono né un grecista (il mio greco è quello del liceo classico) né un militare, pur discendendo da una famiglia di militari.
Ho deciso pertanto di fare una selezione degli articoli che considero più significativi e di pubblicarli, entro il corrente anno 2024, con il semplice titolo di ARGOMENTI
(1) so che la Crusca propone il termine “influenzatore”, tuttavia a me dà l’idea di un losco figuro che va in giro con un vaporizzatore a stantuffo (di quelli che ancora si usavano negli anni ’50 per il DDT) spruzzando virus influenzali, una sorta di moderno untore.

I started my blog with a post published on 13 September 2010, first on Google Blogger and then, after a few years, on WordPress where it is still found today. I thank the Lord for being able to still be active despite my advanced age, however the time of taking some stock of my life has also begun.
From that day in 2010 until December 31, 2022 I published 872 articles, some of which I believe may be significant: then, since I moved to WordPress, the diary has progressed considerably, as can be seen from the table above.
The followers to date are 35: I certainly can’t consider myself an influencer, but that’s okay.
Some articles have obtained more than a thousand views: paradoxically the most “popular” article was the “Epitaph of Simonides” which obtained 6513, it is an article in which I propose a translation of the famous epitaph in which, beyond of the literal translation, I try to express the way in which a soldier of our times would write today the epitaph that Simonides wrote around 500 BC: for me a great satisfaction, taking into account the fact that I am neither a Greek scholar (my Greek is that of classical high school) nor a soldier, despite descending from a military family.
I have therefore decided to make a selection of the articles that I consider most significant and to publish them, by the current year 2024, with the simple title of TOPICS
